Are you stressed about your next big trip and wondering how you should pack? Are you afraid you’ll spend too much money on the baggage alone? Not sure you’ll pack everything you need?
Don’t worry. I have put together the 10 best products to buy that make packing a breeze. This way, you can travel with ease and make others jealous of how well-put-together you are.
Always have a stain stick handy
I know I’m a clumsy person in general, so stains are bound to happen no matter where I am.
Going out to eat, and then (an all too familiar) disaster strikes. Food stain. Not only are you upset by having your outfit ruined, but now you might not be able to wear it again.
This is where the Tide Stain Stick is a lifesaver! It comes in handy in a pinch. Gets that pesky stain out, and not only will no one suspect a thing, but the outfit lives to see another day!
If you’re a bit clumsy or just precautious, I’d highly recommend having one in your travel bag and one in the car.
Vacuum Sealed Bags or Packing Cubes For The Win
The storage-saving vacuum-sealed bags are a lifesaver when trying to save space in your luggage. My family got the vacuum-sealing bags to put in our luggage years ago, and I never want to go back!
They make your luggage easier to use and create more space than loose clothes. My bag gets over-stuffed and chaotic when I don’t use them on short trips. Basically, my suitcase turns into a mess without my vacuum-sealed bags.
The same can go for the packing cubes. I liked using packing cubes in my backpack that I take as my carry-on for my just-in-case clothes. If you want to be more organized, packing cubes are great for that! You can get different colors for family, significant others, and friends so everyone knows their color bags. They are perfect for business trips, fun friend getaways, and people with big families.
Travel Squeeze Bottles For easy Use
Sometimes you think cheaper is better when you are finding air travel essentials. Well, I know firsthand that that’s not always the best way.
I got liquid bottles for my International plane ride to Ireland from Dollar Tree. They worked well, and there were no leaks; however, getting the liquid out of the bottles was hard. The bottles became more frustrating and no longer worth the cheaper price tag.
I wish I had sprung for the TSA-approved travel squeeze bottles to have an easier time using them during and after my trip. So don’t be like me and get these bottles first to make your toiletries the last thing you have to worry about!
Laundry Detergent Sheets On The Go
Going on a long trip? Overpacking will likely not help, especially if you need to repack for multiple destinations. Trust me, I’m the overpacking queen, and I regret it often.
Having no way to do your laundry on the road can be frustrating. That’s where Laundry Club detergent sheets come in! These are perfect and take up no room in your suitcase. As well as, you won’t have to worry about airplane travel and the liquid/gel rules. Best of all, you’ll feel empowered knowing you’re eco-responsible with how you wash your clothes.
The sheets make washing cottons, linens, blends, and durable synthetics easy. They dissolve completely in hot or cold water. Perfect if you have only a sink to wash your clothes while on the road. Let these sheets save you from overpacking and laundry stress on your next vacay!
Dryer Sheets For Static Cling
If you read the headline, that’s right, dryer sheets reduce static cling! When your clothes are sticking to you, and there’s nothing you can do about it, I know I physically can’t stand it.
Packing a dryer sheet in between each layer of clothes. As a result, your clothes continually smell clean and fresh. Suitcases can develop an odor over time, and they help prevent the stench. The travel game can be challenging, but with the right hacks, you can come out smelling as fresh as a daisy!
Keeping It Sanitary With A Toiletry Bag
Everyone has regular hygiene needs, and that’s where a toiletry bag can help keep it all together. I know it’s so much easier to store similar items together but in separate spaces.
Hanging up toiletry bags are great for keeping your products clean, tidy, and easy to find. I’ve been in some situations that weren’t the cleanest, and I was so grateful to have my bag there.
Upgrade your travel game with the ultimate toiletry bag.
Luggage scale to Keep The Balance
Luggage can be expensive if it’s overweight at the airport. It can also be a horrible stress on returning from your vacation when you have more than you came with.
I know this from personal experience; my family and friends have had incidents where they tried to overpack a suitcase, and oops, it’s overweight! So there came the panic, seeing if things could be left out or what could be rearranged to fix the situation. Ultimately, they always had to buy a more expensive luggage bag and even pay for another checked bag.
You may ask, how can I spare myself from going through that situation? A hand-held luggage scale can solve a lot of your problems. Simply clip it to the handle of your bag and pull it upward to reveal the weight. It’ll tell you if your luggage is overweight, and it’s easy to take with you to any destination.
Collapsable Water Bottle On The Go
Carrying around water bottles can be annoying when you can’t find anywhere to fill them. So now you are just carrying another weight. Collapsable water bottles have many benefits.
Save space, and don’t worry about your bottle when passing security. It’s handy to have as a spare in case you need it one day.
Here are two options for collapsable water bottles:
- If you want to try it out but don’t want to spend money, here is a great option.
- If you’ve tried them before and are willing to invest a little bit more, here is another wonderful option.
Pack An Extra Bag
Bring a flat foldable bag in case you need extra luggage on the way home. I am so grateful for my extra bag. It has saved me more times than I can count.
I used it for my trip to Ireland. I only wanted to bring carry on’s, not a checked bag, for fear of losing my luggage. However, I didn’t know if I would need a checked bag on my way back. Since we moved from city to city, packing became hard, and I had to bring out the reinforcements. It was a relief to not have to worry about buying another suitcase.
I truly recommend carrying an extra foldable duffle bag with you on every trip!
Keeping Cords In Their Place
Electronic cords can bring on serious frustration if everything is tangled together. I had some disasters in airports, planes, and cars because my cables were hard to find and all jumbled up. I’m sure you’ve experienced this at some point too.
What has massively improved my life and can improve yours too? A cable organizer. Pack cords neatly in one place for easy access. Also, they help you remember if you forgot a needed cord. We all know the crushing realization when you don’t have that one cord that’s essential to you when the battery is already dead. Don’t let this be you.
